Introduction
CameraLink is the best suited interface standard for real time, low latency, high bandwidth applications. CameraLink enables transmission of high-resolution image data at high speeds for both line scan and area scan cameras. The interface has a standardized protocol that includes provisions for data transfer, camera timing, serial communications and real time signalling to the camera.
In addition to data signals for the image transfer, CameraLink interfaces integrate a serial interface for the configuration and control of the camera as well as another four signals for the transmission of trigger and synchronisation signals. This external triggering allows for a very low release delay and guarantees a nearly real-time capable control of the camera.
YantraVision CameraLink IP
Our CameraLink IP implements the hardware specification that standardizes the connection between cameras and frame grabbers.
The IP supports the following modes –
Mode | Data Rate | Clock Frequency |
Base (24 bits per cycle) | 255 MB/s | 85 MHz |
Medium (48 bits per cycle) | 510 MB/s | 85 MHz |
Full (64 bits per cycle) | 680 MB/s | 85 MHz |
